Yaw Tog from Ghana was one of the unexpected performers at the recently concluded Global Citizen Festival.
Stormzy, a rapper from the UK, was one of the event’s headliners at Black Star Square in Accra.
He performed Yaw Tog’s “Sore Remix,” for which he was hired, during his show on Saturday.
After a thrilling performance, Tema-based Kwesi Arthur joined the duo on stage.
Images of the 19-year-old and Stormzy’s mother hanging around backstage after the performance surfaced.
He engaged her in what appeared to be a spirited conversation while she was with the UK Award-winning Artist, giving her a piece of Kente cloth.
Yaw’s delighted mother expressed gratitude and prayed for God’s blessings on his life.
Stormzy was also given a gift by Yaw Tog with a similar cloth.
