Agyemang Badu, a former Black Stars player, has threatened to shave his head live on television if Ghana is eliminated from the 2022 World Cup group stage.
On the strength of Ghana’s great performance against Switzerland before the World Cup, Badu made this claim.
The Black Stars were placed in Group H with Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay, which will be a difficult challenge for them.
The former Udinese player, though, is confident that the West African giant will advance from the tournament’s group round, which begins tomorrow.
“With set pieces, we are progressing well over time. We are not yet in the air. We now have a sturdy bench. I’m not confident that this squad will lose and lose their chance to advance from the group. He stated on TV3 that he would shave all of his hair if it didn’t happen.
“I’m willing to wager anything that this team will advance from the group. I’ll shave it here if Ghana doesn’t advance from the group stage. I have such high hopes for this team, he continued.
On Thursday, November 24 at 4:00 GMT, Ghana will play Portugal in the World Cup group stage opening.
