Woman sentenced for poking holes in boyfriend’s condoms to get pregnant

For discreetly putting holes in his condoms to get pregnant, a 39-year-old woman in a "friends with benefits" relationship with a 42-year-old man was sentenced to a 6-month suspended sentence.

After the disgruntled lover filed charges against her, a court in western Germany convicted her guilty of sexual assault.
The judge called the case historic since it was the first time a woman was charged with’stealthing,’ a felony generally done by men.

The case was tried at a regional court in the western German city of Bielefeld, according to local daily Neue Westfälische and the mass-circulation Bild newspaper on Wednesday.

The two lovers are said to have met online in early 2021 and started a casual, sexual relationship. However, when the woman’s affections for her partner became stronger, she decided to utilize clandestine measures to catch him because he didn’t want to be in a committed relationship.

She purposefully destroyed the box of condoms stored on her partner’s bedside in the hopes of becoming pregnant if they had sex with the perforated contraception.

Despite the fact that her preparations did not come to fruition, the lady subsequently claimed to be pregnant and told her spouse what she had done.

The originality of her case perplexed prosecutors and the court. They weren’t sure what charges to bring against her at first, but the court decided that sexual assault would be a better fit for her offense than rape.

“This regulation likewise applies in the reverse circumstance. The condoms were made useless without the man’s knowledge or his agreement,” Judge Astrid Salewski ruled, as published by dw.com.

He added: “We have written legal history here today.”
