Vodafone Ghana to organize a virtual skills fair on September 1, 2022

Young Ghanaians can meet with seasoned experts who have established great careers in their professions through the Vodafone Skills Fair, a flagship corporate social responsibility event supported by Vodafone.

The event, which benefited around 4,000 young Ghanaians last year, will give young people access to training materials, career counselling, and assistance in making educated professional decisions.

The organizer for this year’s event is Berla Mundi. She will work with competent and experienced people like Dr. Mrs. Irene Stella Agyenim-Boateng, a highly qualified C-Suite Human Resource Management Executive with over 31 years of post-graduate professional working experience. She has held senior leadership positions at the director level for more than 17 years.

The fair will feature Hannah Ashiokai Akrong’s experience as Vodafone Ghana’s HR Director. Hannah has extensive expertise in a variety of industries, including Medtronic, a pioneer in the electronics industry, where she explored Business Partner HR jobs abroad (United States, United Kingdom and Ireland).

Mary Bennett, a different invitee, is currently Vodafone Ghana Limited’s manager of resourcing, talent, and learning development. She has experience working in a variety of industrial sectors, including oil and gas, telecommunications, information technology, health, and education, where she has advised and influenced line management positions all the way up to the board level.

The event will feature Paul Kofi Mante, the managing director of EDC Investments Limited, who will also offer his perspectives. Additionally, he has contributed significantly to the Promoting Private Sector Development Program for the Government of Ghana and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

Christian Boakye Yiadom, the Chief Executive Officer of the Pizzaman-Chickenman franchise, award-winning musician Livingstone Etse Satekla (Stonebwoy), and Ameyaw Kissi Debrah, a blogger, publisher, content creator, and social media influencer who will show the participants how to build a strong digital presence, will also provide participants with useful entrepreneurial lessons.
