US Ambassador assures of prompt visa appointments for Ghanaian students

According to Virginia Palmer, the Embassy will make every effort to guarantee that aspiring students who wish to study in the US do not fall behind because of visa complications.

She noted that you may now renew visas through email when speaking at the EducationUSA College Fair in Accra in 2022.

According to GBC Online, Mrs. Palmer added, “I hope you’ll enjoy the opportunity to study the educational options available in the US, the bridges that are established throughout studies in the US.”

“When American students travel to Ghana, they create connections that last a lifetime and strengthen the two countries’ ties for years to come.”

“So you don’t need to come back to the Embassy, you can just give it to us by mail, and those renewals are fairly straightforward,” she continued. “If you already had a visa, but your visa has expired.

“And with regards to the backlog in general, as I am aware that there is much interest in that. Since I assigned every officer with a consular commission to the visa line, the consular section has many openings for additional non-immigrant visa appointments.

The Deputy Minister of Education, John Ntim Fordjour, was also present at the Fair.
