After firing many times in the Palace, the assailants also destroyed various property, including televisions, doors, and other items.
The Apagyahene, Oheneba Nana Asante Okorie I, and others have had to flee for their safety, causing unrest in the community.
The issue has been reported to the Nsawam Police Command, which will take appropriate action.
Oheneba Nana Asante Okorie I told Onua FM on Sunday that the Head of the Family for Boadi, Abusuapanyin Appiah Adu Gyamfi, had phoned to say that he was expecting some guests and that the Apagyahene should receive them in his palace.
He said that while welcoming them at the Palace, he ordered dinner for them and then proceeded to Nsawam to buy some stuff for them.
Asante Okorie Oheneba I explained that on his way to Nsawam, he received a call that some people, led by the Manwerehene of Sekyikrom, Nana Takyi, alias “Double,” who allegedly work for National Security, and the Queenmother of Sekyikrom, Nana Agyakwabea Acheamponmaa III, stormed the Palace with some police officers in uniform and AK47 rifles and began shooting sporadically.
As a result, the Apagyahene has asked National Security Minister Albert Kan Dapaah and Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to look into the situation.
