Stormzy calls on Arya Starr, Black Sherif, Amaarae & more for the third studio album ‘This Is What I Mean’

Many of the concepts introduced in his first two albums are expanded upon in the third album. examining his views on stereotypes, exceptions, and how Black people are portrayed in the media.

The musician just released the music video for his new single, “firebabe.” To create his most recent piece of work, “This is what I mean,” Stormzy enlisted the aid of a sizable cast of A-listers.

Features originate from India, Ms. Banks, and Black Sherif. Jacob Collier, Arie, Amaarae, Debbie, Sampha, Ayra Starr, Tendai, and Nao. Along with PRGRSHN (who also serves as executive producer), KZ, Dion Wardle, Joel Peters, Tendai, Juls, Tempoe, P2J, Owen Cutts, Grades, Scribz Riley, Knox Brown, Jojo Mukeza, and Miles, he also enlisted their help for the beats and instrumentals.

Along with the release, Stormzy sent a statement on Instagram that he claims was motivated by Tyler, The Creator’s IGOR. Stormzy recalls, “He conveyed a message with it and I wanted to do the same but I was apprehensive.” primarily because I want my music could speak for itself, but I still felt compelled to offer this message.
