Stonebwoy pays Tinny’s debt and has his car returned to him.

Stonebwoy paid for the release of Tinny's seized vehicle.

Tinny’s car was seized and kept at the Taifa Police Station in Accra after he was accused of accepting money and neglecting to perform at an event in the Oti Region.
Yaw Menkasa, the event planner, said he paid the rapper $2,000 for a concert in his hometown of Oti.

He then filed a police report with the Taifa Police Station. When Tinny showed himself to the police, the cops took his automobile based on the report. He was given until Monday, May 9 to return the money or face being jailed.

Stonebwoy promised to reimburse the money on Tinny’s behalf after hearing the story.

The Reggae Dancehall musician kept his word and donated the money to Prince Tsegah, presenter of Hitz 103.9 FM’s ‘You Say Wetin’ show, for Yaw Menkasa.

Stonebwoy won three prizes at the 23rd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, which took place on May 6 and 7, 2022.

Def Jam Recordings, 0207 Def Jam, and Def Jam Africa, all part of Universal Music Group (UMG), have just secured a global agreement with the Dancehall singer.

In 2020, Def Jam Africa will represent his music in Africa, while Def Jam Recordings will remain his label home in the United States.

Stonebwoy will be supported in the UK by 0207 Def Jam, the flagship Universal Music UK label that named Ghanaian London-born twin brothers Alec and Alex Boateng as Co-Presidents in 2020.

The collaboration “showcases UMG’s global dedication to promoting Stonebwoy’s diverse sound and Ghanaian music culture to new audiences across the world,” according to UMG.
