The suspected murder of a 31-year-old man was said to have occurred at Nkonya Kodzi in the Biakoye District of the Oti Region, according to the Ghana Police Service.
On Monday morning about 7:00 a.m., the victim, Brempong Daniel, was ambushed and shot dead by an unidentified assailant while en route to the farm in a restricted area in that part of the district.
While the incident is still being investigated, his remains had been left to the Margaret Marquart Hospital in Hohoe for an autopsy.
In a statement, the police claimed they have increased patrols in Nkonya and other locations to maintain peace and order. The statement was signed by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), John Nchor, Public Affairs Officer of the Police in the Oti Region.
