Nike has officially debuted the Nike LeBron 20 after weeks of consistent teaser drops on social media by the NBA billionaire superstar and his boys.
The Nike LeBron 20 is the first performance basketball shoe in James’ renowned signature line to make an appearance in a low-top design.
Fans may be surprised by the design change, which has plenty of underfoot cushioning with an even larger Zoom Air unit in the heel and a top-loaded Air Zoom Turbo unit in the forefoot.
Jason Petrie, senior footwear designer for men’s basketball and head designer of the LeBron line since the Zoom LeBron 7, issued a press release in response to the announcement of the most recent cooperation.
We viewed the 20 as an opportunity to commemorate LeBron’s upcoming 20-year career.
“‘Designed and Engineered to the Exact Specifications of the Next Generation,’ reads the sewn sticker inside the tongue.
When creating the shoe, we paid close attention to that line. We were thinking about athletes like LeBron’s sons Bronny and Bryce. We desired to enter their minds and discover what young players desired. via Complex.
The Nike LeBron 20 reportedly has some of the most well-known technology from previous LeBron models, including as the Nike Sphere ankle collar lining, which was introduced in the Air Zoom Generation in 2003.
A carbon fiber shank plate from the Zoom LeBron 5 is also present in the midfoot, and the Dunkman logo, which was last seen on the outsole of the LeBron 16, is back.
On September 29 through the official Nike store and at select Nike Basketball retailers, the Nike LeBron 20 will make its retail debut in the “Time Machine” colorway. Additional styles will also premiere during the holiday season.
