Vigorously outfitted men went after the air terminal in Kaduna, a significant city in northwestern Nigeria, killing a safety officer and briefly stopping air traffic, specialists and a security source said Saturday.
The assault was repulsed by security powers, Kaduna State Security Commissioner Samuel Aruwan said on Twitter.
This is the most recent viciousness accused on packs referred to locally as “crooks” who plague the northwest and focal pieces of Africa’s most crowded country, where they plunder, hijack and kill inhabitants.
“Troopers positioned in and around the air terminal returned fire and repulsed the assailants,” Aruwan said.
“The desperados sadly shot and killed an air terminal representative who raised the caution when he saw them,” he added.
