After Inaki Williams decided to play for the Black Stars, Nico Williams sent him his best wishes.
The Williams brothers, who both play for Athletic Bilbao, have decided to divide their international playing time between Inaki and Ghana and Nico and Spain.
Over the weekend, Inaki and Nico made their debuts for the Black Stars and La Roja, respectively, against Brazil and Switzerland. Both athletes were substitutes for their respective teams.
Speaking after making his Spain debut against the Swiss team, Nico said that the two players made separate decisions.
“It was a natural choice; each person followed their own route and deliberated before making their choice. I’m thrilled that my brother is in Ghana, and I wish him luck in his endeavors so that he can have a fantastic World Cup and realize his highest ambitions, the man stated.
When the Black Stars play Nicaragua on Tuesday, September 27, it is anticipated that Inaki will get the start.
