On July 29, 2015, one week after Stonebwoy’s birthday, the late Madam Catherine Satekla passed away. The news devastated many people at the time.
She fainted and was sent to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra, where she later died.

On GTV, he remembered how she had sold her belongings to help him realize his dream of being a successful artist.
According to Stonebwoy, who said that “those who have lost siblings they had a stronger connection with can empathize,” on occasion he hears his mother calling out to him.
“I regret that she is not here to see,” Stonebwoy stated. especially for my mother to still be with us today. Everyone who has lost a parent. She helped me in my profession. The dancehall master went on to praise his mother, recounting how she had to care for him at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for months after he suffered a vehicle accident.
