Man stripped naked and stoned to death at Gomoa Aprah

The Buduburam police in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region are calling on the public to assist them with information on the people who stoned a man to death.

The incident happened in Gomoa Aprah, which is close to Gomoa Buduburam, according to starrfm.com.gh.

Because he was unknown, locals believe that the corpse was brought in from somewhere else and slain there.

Locals said that about 1:00 am on Monday, they heard someone screaming for assistance, but out of terror, they did not wake up to save the man.

One Samuel Ofori, a worker at the block factory where the corpse was discovered, claimed that when he heard the plea for assistance, he was terrified and unable to leave.

Some witnesses claimed to have discovered bricks, stones, and sticks that were possibly used to kill the deceased guy, whose identity has not yet been released. They claim that this event is not unique to the neighborhood.

The incidence was reported to the Buduburam police station by the Assembly Member and a few of the locals for inquiry.

The deceased’s remains have been placed in the Winneba Special and Trauma Hospital Mortuary for an autopsy and preservation in the meantime.

A man was allegedly stoned to death at Mankesim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region last month after he was suspected of stealing a plantain.

Some witnesses allegedly said they discovered the body of the dead, whose name was only given as Caleb, tied to the palm tree, according to adomonline.com.

Cephas Arthur, an assemblyman from the Mankesim Netro electoral constituency, verified the occurrence and said that three more bodies had been discovered nearby in the previous week.

He lamented the rise in crime that had recently occurred in the neighborhood. Additionally, he exhorted the young people in the region to look for employment and steer clear of theft.

It is yet unknown who committed the immediate injustice and whether or not the matter has been submitted to the police for review.

The Mankesim Divisional Police Command has been urged to strengthen patrols in the region by Mohammed Ekow Arthur, the Assembly Member for the Nkusukum Electoral Area, in order to prevent such tragedies.
