Man bursts into tears as passersby stop him from committing suicide (watch)

A young Nigerian man who was stopped from taking his own life has been handed over to the police.

He began crying after being saved by passers-by who saw him attempting to plunge into the lagoon from the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge in Lagos State.

According to reports, the good Samaritans observed the unidentified young guy attempting to leap into the river beneath the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge.

However, some bystanders rushed to the scene just in time to detain him.

Some of the rescuers are seen consoling the evidently despondent guy, telling him that God has a bright future for him and that he should not squander his life, according to a video circulating online.

One of the good Samaritans, a lady who is thought to be a Lekki Concession Company (LCC) employee, is overheard promising to give the dejected young man a job if he would alter his mind.

The man began to cry as they tried to calm him down, and he ultimately removed his grasp on the bridge rails, although cautiously.

The LCC posted the footage on social media and stated that the young man had been handed over to the cops.

“A young guy was stopped from attempting suicide on the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge because to the prompt intervention of LCC patrol personnel. He’s been turned over to the cops “The LCC penned a caption for the moving footage.

Nigerians have reacted to the video, with some blaming the man’s choice to commit himself on the country’s woes.

A young guy who would have died four years ago expressed appreciation to a mysterious Twitter user who talked him out of committing himself in an earlier article.

The man is now the father of a four-month-old baby boy, and he realizes the harm he would have done if he had carried out his suicide mission.
