On this weekend’s episode of UTV’s United Showbiz, the popular Ghanaian televangelist Prophet Kumchacha and the country’s entertainment journalist, Nicholas Osei, battled.
As a guest commentator on the program, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo congratulated the prophet for having the guts to declare his intention to run for president of Ghana.
He added, though, that if he ran, he would lose because Ghanaians would vote against him, which infuriated Kumchacha. “I would like to commend Prophet Kumchacha for declaring his interest in running for president and for having the vision to do so. But we wouldn’t support him,” said Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo.
Angry at Armold’s remark, Kumchacha charged at him during the live broadcast and threatened to slap him if he said anything that would undermine his current efforts to win the presidency.
“No, Nana Ama, I won’t let him say things like that on television. We are being watched by millions of people, so I won’t let him undo the work I’ve already done. When Nana Ama McBrown called him to order, Kumchacha threatened to slap the man if he tried to do it again.
Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo claimed that the prophet’s warnings did not dissuade him from adding that “How are you going to win the election with this temper? Even the elections won’t be won by you “. To learn more, see the video below.
