There is no reality to the claimed publications, according to a statement dated November 17, 2022, signed and released on Thursday night by Dr. Kwabena Osei-Adubofour, a senior advisor and spokesperson for the former President.

According to the statement, President Kufuor “vehemently detests the emerging tendency in disinformation that cunningly strives to drag President Kufuor into subjects on which he has not commented.”

“The former President would be the last person to play petty and ignorant politics in the circumstances. He is as concerned about the wellbeing and stability of Ghana as, if not more so than, others, and in his own way is doing whatever he can for the nation to get on top of the seemingly intractable difficulties currently engulfing our society.

“Mr. Kufuor would not hesitate to speak out publicly on national issues whenever he felt it was appropriate to do so. But he would undoubtedly refuse to get involved on other people’s terms or for their goal, it said.
