‘I was young and ignorant’ – KiDi issues apology over old tweets about Mahama and others

After his previous tweets appeared online again yesterday, the Ghanaian artist has been trending. In the majority of the tweets, KiDi made fun of H.E. Nana Addo, the late President Mills, ex-President John Mahama, Asamoah Gyan, Delay, Yvonne Nelson, and other famous Ghanaians.

Prof. Gyampo is criticized by celebrities Wanlov for his remarks about Akufo-Addo being jeered at the Global Citizen Festival.

Asamoah Gyan and Delay were among the people KiDi called “lazy” and “illiterate” in some of the trending tweets, but in a new post he has uploaded online, he apologizes for those remarks.

“Years ago, when I was young and naive and didn’t grasp the significance and consequences of my comments, I tweeted improper and cruel things.

As I grew older, I developed a deep regret for these deeds and how they affected the persons concerned,” he stated.

“I want to apologise again to everyone for the words I made, and use this to teach us all to be cautious of the things we say and how they effect people,” he concluded in the message posted on his Twitter page. Let’s practice mutual kindness.

All of these events took place as KiDi was promoting his new EP, “4Play,” which included four songs and was released on September 23, 2022. KiDi stunned his fans with an incredible music video for one of the EP’s songs.

He included household names Nana Ama McBrown and Adjetey Anang in the music video for his song “Champagne.” 1.6 million people have watched the video on YouTube in less than 8 days since it was posted. The video is below.
