The man, who is said to have lived abroad, told the herbalist that life had been difficult for him and that he had decided to make money by sacrificing one of her children.
Nana Adu-Boafo, who claims to be a disciplined military guy, reported the father of 12 to the police, who detained him.
A video circulating online shows the herbalist describing what happened between him and Oppong to law enforcement officers.
“When the girl’s father came to see me, he informed me that he had just returned to the country after spending some time abroad, and that it had not been easy for him.” He told me he is the father of 12 children, two of whom he is donating for money rituals.
When the job was finished, he offered me GHS 10,000 and other nice gifts. Unfortunately, dad had just picked up the daughter during school hours and promised to bring her a new clothing.
“Yes, I am a herbalist, but I am also a veteran of the military. I’m a really disciplined person. I don’t partake in any nefarious activity. I want to show the world that herbalists aren’t as bad as they’re made out to be. We are not assassins as depicted in movies; rather, we are healers. I’ve got the little child he brought me to murder “Nana Adu-Boafo informed the authorities.
The video, which has gotten a lot of attention online, shows a young child sitting down with surprise written all over her face.
Nana Adu-Boafo, on the other hand, apologized for including the face of the rescued girl in the clip.
“I apologize for including the girl’s face in the video. I was completely possessed at the time of recording because I was working before he and his daughter arrived, and I couldn’t even suppress my tears.
“Since my kingmakers were not at home with me, I filmed everything for evidence, please forgive me.” Please accept my apologies.
I’ll help the girl grow up sans the trauma of this experience. Trust me, I’ll assist her.”
The suspect is currently in police custody and will be charged and arraigned shortly.
