In his speech to the House of Representatives, Mr. Mensah mentioned how expensive it is for regular Ghanaians to take care of themselves and meet their basic needs because of the high cost of goods and services in the nation.

His study was focused on how the high cost of fuel affects every aspect of life and how difficult it is for Ghanaians to adapt despite several changes.

He made a comparison between fuel prices in Ghana and those in its neighbors to show how expensive fuel is in Ghana as a result of the numerous taxes that are added to ex-pump prices.

Since Tema Oil Refinery has the capacity to refine 50% of Ghana’s petroleum consumption needs, the MP has recommended that Ghana retool and restart the refinery.
