Barack Obama, the nation’s 44th president, has revealed the songs on his summer 2022 playlist.
This is a part of his yearly tradition of sharing his favorite media, notably music, which includes a wide range of genres and artists from other countries.
Four Nigerian musicians made the 44 songs that Mr. Obama has been listening to all summer long, while Ghanaian artists were left off this year.
According to Mr. Obama’s tweet, sharing his playlist is exciting for him because he discovers so many new artists from the responses. He also said that it is “an example of how music really can bring us all together.”
Tems, Pheelz& Buju (one song), and Burna Boy’s music were included this year.
Tems’ “Vibe Out” track, which recently entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart, earned her a spot on the list.
The hit song “Finesse” by Pheelz and BNXN “Buju” also earned them a spot on the list since it generated numerous social media trends, particularly on TikTok.
