GFA receives advice from Sam George on how to acquire sponsorship for the local league.

Samuel Nartey George, MP for Ningo Prampram, has asked the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to resolve officiating difficulties in the domestic league if it wants to attract investment.

Since taking office in 2019, the Ghana FA has made various commitments in its efforts to attract investors to the local league.

Due to a lack of progress in talks, the local leagues have gone two seasons without a headline sponsor, despite teams’ pleas for financial assistance.

Ghanaian Parliamentarian Sam George lectured the GFA on how to entice investors in an interview with Angel TV.

“The Football Association should not be soliciting investors for the league.” “They need to clean up the league’s problems, and then the investment will come,” Sam George remarked.

“How do I invest in a league if referees are subpar and match-fixing is rampant?” the Ningo Prampram MP continued.

According to sources close to the Ghana FA, the leadership is in discussions with a number of investors.

Before the commencement of the 2022/23 season, the GFA intends to obtain headline sponsors for the local leagues.
