At her residence, a former Qatari princess was discovered dead after a suspected drug overdose.
According to the French publication Le Parisien, Kasia Gallanio was discovered dead by Spanish police on Sunday.
The death of Abdelaziz bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar’s uncle, Abdelaziz bin Khalifa Al-Thani, 45, was discovered at her home in Marbella.
She married a Qatari prince in 2004 and the couple has three kids.
However, once claims surfaced that he sexually molested their eldest kid, the two engaged in a ten-year custody fight.
These charges have always been refuted by him.
Gallanio’s three children lived with their father on Paris’s opulent Avenue Montaigne after she was refused custody of them.
Gallanio, a Los Angeles native of Polish ancestry, was residing at one of the couple’s several properties at the time.
She was suffering from both melancholy and alcoholism.
A post-mortem has yet to be performed, but preliminary investigations indicate she died of a drug overdose, according to reports.
There were no traces of physical assault, according to the French newspaper.
Her ex-husband has resided in France since 1992, when he was exiled for allegedly plotting a revolution against Qatar’s ruler.
