The musician received the honor on Sunday from His Royal Majesty, Eze (Dr) AMB Chukwudi J. Ihenetu, the Igbo community’s monarch in Ghana.
The celebration also honored ten years of Dr. Chukwudi’s rule as community monarch.
Her spouse, Hopeson Adorye, and a large number of well-wishers were present during the ceremony, which was colorful and rich in Nigerian culture.
Following her coronation, Empress Gifty thanked the King and the Igbo Community in Ghana and promised to strive for the development of the entire African continent.
I’m overjoyed to be a part of history as the Igbo Community in Ghana celebrates its tenth year in power today.
“This honor will, indirectly, strengthen Ghana and Nigeria’s cultural and economic connections. We stand to gain a lot by banding together as Africans, so I would volunteer for this cause because of that,” she conceded.
