After a two-week absence, musician Kanye West has returned to Twitter, and the platform’s new owner Elon Musk has greeted him there.
The former Kanye West posted on Sunday using an iPhone, checking to see if he was still unblocked after having his account momentarily suspended and restored at the end of October, which Musk claimed was not his choice. He then added “Shalom:)”.
Ye had already been suspended because of an anti-Semitic comment. Last month, the hip-hop artist decided to purchase Parler, a conservative alternative to Twitter on the social media site.
Don’t kill what you dislike, save what you love, said Musk in response to Ye’s initial post.

The new CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk, who is also the CEO of Tesla Inc. and SpaceX, spent the weekend asking his followers on the social media site whether to allow Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, to regain access after he was suspended permanently following the January 6 hack of the US Capitol.
Trump is now free to return after a 52% affirmative response rate; however, he has responded by claiming he would stick to his own social network, Truth Social.
In his most recent tweet, Musk compares Twitter to a drug that Trump will be desperately tempted to use again.
The billionaire owner of Twitter is courting the network’s controversial personalities in addition to himself, which threatens to further alienate advertisers who have recently been hesitant to link their brands to the service.
