Dr. UN is considering a new award for the Black Stars’ World Cup campaign.

He claims that the new prize, which will be called the “Ghana for Gold” award, will be given out in an effort to boost support for the Black Stars.

This was said by Fordjour, also known as Dr. UN, in an interview on Deloris Frimpong Manso’s Delay Show.

The goal of the “Ghana Go for Gold” award, which he will be presenting this year, is to encourage the Black Stars to compete for the championship in the Qatar-hosted FIFA World Cup in 2022.

Even a song that I wrote in honor of Queen Elizabeth has been dedicated to her.

Fordjour gained notoriety two years ago after planning an awards ceremony to honor local personalities.

On August 28, 2020, the Alisa Hotel hosted the awards ceremony, where recipients from various backgrounds received recognition.

The bogus “UN Kofi Annan” awards were given to people including Sarkodie, D Black, Berla Mundi, Jonnie Hughes, and Nathaniel Attoh.

Later investigation revealed that the rewards scheme was a hoax that only fooled the recipients by using the UN’s name.

Additionally denying any connection to the event’s organizers, the UN office in Ghana distanced itself from the entire undertaking.

On the Delay Show, when asked if he was a fake, Dr. UN vehemently denied it,  insisting he has ties to people in higher places

“I am not a fraud, and I do not do delay scams. Do you still refer to me as a con considering that we are all in Ghana and you have seen the types of people I have honored?” He said.
