Davido bags Int’l award days after losing son

In the midst of grieving for his deceased son Ifeanyi, Nigerian singer Davido Adeleke has won a prestigious international prize.

Davido has been selected to receive an Afro Award in Los Angeles, California, together with other Africans and Americans.

The Afro Awards’ founder and executive producer, Taiwo Oduala, verified the news and said that Sen. Ademola Jackson-Adeleke, Davido’s uncle, is also among the honorees.

The First Lady of Sierra Leone, Mrs. Fatima Maada, the Founder and CEO of the Pan African Film Festival, Ayuko Babu, and renowned Nigerian Journalist Seye Kehinde will also be honored alongside Davido.

The recipients, according to him, include Americans and Africans who excelled in a variety of endeavors.

The year’s most anticipated occasion, Afro Awards 2022, is billed to be broadcast live on Sunday, November 6 at Regal La Live 1000 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90015, USA.
