August 04 declared as public holiday

To commemorate Founders’ Day, Thursday, August 4, 2022 has been designated a statutory holiday.

The general public is officially advised that Thursday, August 4, 2022, which celebrates Founders’ Day, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be commemorated as such throughout the country, according to a statement released by Interior Minister Ambrose Dery.

A national holiday known as “Founders’ Day” honors the heroic efforts made by Ghana’s founding fathers, often known as the “Big Six,” to the country’s development.

They have a long history of playing significant roles in the independence and growth of Ghana.
