Asamoah Gyan tears Black Stars players apart after shocking defeat to Uruguay – 2022 World Cup

Asamoah Gyan has criticized the Black Stars’ playing group in the wake of their withdrawal from the 2022 World Cup.

In their final Group H match on Friday at the Al Janoub Stadium, Ghana, who needed a draw to advance to the next round of the World Cup, lost 2-0 to Uruguay.

The Black Stars were given a penalty kick, but the team’s captain, Andre Ayew, was unable to score.

Although Ghana was defeated 2-0 by the two-time world champions thanks to two goals from Georgian De Arrascaeta.

Gyan, who competed in the World Cups in in 2006, 2010, and 2014 in Germany, South Africa, and Brazil, lashed out at the players after the loss for lacking a fighting attitude.

He added on SuperSport, “I am very unhappy and upset because you cannot lose a game like this.

It was horrible because there was no sense of urgency. “You have to play your hearts out and even when you lose, you will be congratulated.

He continued, “I don’t like the way they played today.

Now with three points, Ghana is out of the competition. The Black Stars have now missed out on the Fifa World Cup’s round of 16 twice.
