Asamoah Gyan, a legend from Ghana, will be a pundit for the 2022 World Cup on Africa’s pay-per-view television network SuperSport.
The former Sunderland and Stade Rennais forward served as one of the commentators for the Cameroon 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Despite Ghana’s early withdrawal from the competition, Gyan won the hearts of football fans on the continent with his analysis and comprehension of the game.
The 22nd World Cup is slated to begin in Qatar on November 20 and go until December 18.
For the first time, Gyan won’t be participating in the largest football competition on the planet.
The 37-year-old took the field in Germany, South Africa, and Brazil in 2006, 2010, and 2014, respectively.
Gyan remains Africa’s and Ghana’s top goal scorer in the history of the World Cup.
