Asamoah Gyan makes bold Black Stars prediction-2022 World Cup

Asamoah Gyan, a legend in Ghana, says he is confident in the Black Stars’ chances at the 2022 World Cup, which began on Sunday.

The West African nation has returned to the greatest football stage after missing out on the most recent one, which was held in Russia in 2018.

Four-time African champions Ghana were placed in Group H with Uruguay, South Korea, and Portugal.

Gyan, the nation’s all-time leading scorer, believes the Black Stars, who have the youngest roster, will have an impact despite the challenges and the fact that many predict they will leave the tournament after the group stage.

According to Gyan, who is a commentator for SuperSport, “I played in the 2006, 2010, and 2014 World Cups and we always came up against the top teams but we were still able to overcome them so I’m positive about Ghana’s chances.”

At Stadium 974 in Doha, Ghana’s campaign will get underway against Portugal on November 24.

The Black Stars are back in action four days later when they play South Korea at Al Rayyan’s Education City Stadium.

At Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah, Ghana will conclude their exciting group stage journey with their much awaited matchup with Uruguay.
