According to reports, police discovered an aphrodisiac medication known as Dragon Spray in the pocket of the dead, Albert Agomavi.
Starrfm.com has a report.
On May 4, 2022, he claims he checked into the Climax Hotel in Pokuase, Greater Accra Region, with a young girl at 5:00pm.
Workers at the hotel, however, heard the lady with whom Agomavi booked into the facility crying for help a few hours later.
They went to the room where the distress call came from, only to find the guy still on the bed, froth pouring from his lips.
Following a complaint from the hotel’s management, Kofi Sintim, police officers led by Detective Sergeant Sabutu Caesar went to the hotel.
The cops discovered Agomavi dead in a supine posture, wearing Jean trouser, but there were no visible signs of trauma on his corpse.
After learning of the tragedy, the deceased’s father-in-law, a fire officer, and other family members went to the hotel. They also stated that Agomavi was hypertensive.
Although the authorities are awaiting the autopsy report to determine the reason of the man’s death, it is believed that the usage of the aphrodisiac discovered on him for sex with the young lady may have prompted hypertension, which led to his death.
Meanwhile, the lady in question has been arrested and is assisting the police with investigations into the incident. A similar incident occurred in December 2020 involving a man believed to be in his late 60s. He was found dead in a hotel room at Effiduase, off Akwadum Road in the Eastern Region, after checking in at a hotel room with a 25-year-old lady.
The man, who gave his name as William Agyei, called at his guest house in a red Toyota Corolla with registration number ER 1614-17 and lodged at room 40 of the guest house on Saturday, December 19. However, around midday on Sunday, when the receptionist wanted to clean the room allocated to the couple, she knocked several times, but there was no response.
She opened the door out of curiosity, only to find William Agyei dead on the bed and the lady with whom he had checked in nowhere to be seen.
A call was made to the police, who arrived on the scene and discovered many drugs in a suitcase within the guest room, including one Viagra, deep heat spray, unirob arctic ice, bendroflumethiazide pills, and several other used tablets.
A crimson bag holding the deceased’s personal items, including some regalia, and a black purse with a monetary value of GH2000,00 were also discovered, in addition to the various drugs.
The corpse was examined externally by police, but there were no signs of violence other than frothing at the mouth.
