According to information received by adomonline.com, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, also known as Afia Schwarzenegger, has been detained by Ghana Police Service officers.
The loud-mouthed television personality and actress is presently in police custody, according to our sources at the Police Service Headquarters.
Mr. Phillip Brobbey, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of P-Mobile, had accused her of slander, which led to her detention.
Meanwhile, new evidence shows that she has been served with a writ of summons by Mr Brobbey’s lawyers.
The actress’ arrest, according to a source who was at the police headquarters to observe Afia in detention, is the outcome of his continual hide-and-seek game with the cops since she was invited a week or more ago.
Afia allegedly told the police that she was a delegate in the just concluded New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Primaries, which explains why she was unable to accept the police offer.
However, she failed to appear days after the primary, prompting law enforcement officials to detain her and interview her.
GHS 500,000 Defamation Suit
Afia Schwarzenegger has been sued for making a defamatory allegation against the telecommunications firm and its CEO on Instagram.
Afia is being detained for harmful comments about Brobbey and his firm, according to a writ sent to adomonline.com, despite the latter meeting a contractual duty his company had made with Afia as brand ambassador in 2018.
The writ seeks GHS 500,000 in aggravated or exemplary damages, as well as the dissemination of a retraction throughout Afia’s social media platforms. She has also been handed a restraining order prohibiting her from making any further defamatory statements against Brobbey and his firm.
