The Accra Zoo’s lion is said to have fled, according to reports from the Forestry Commission.
The claim is false, according to the Commission, and should be completely disregarded.
This comes after a lion at the zoo on Sunday killed a middle-aged man.
The person was attacked and hurt “inside the inner fencing of the enclosure,” according to the Commission, which also corroborated the statement.
According to a press release released on Sunday, August 28, the zoo’s facilities are all still in good condition.
The Accra zoo’s lions have not fled, the Forestry Commission wished to reassure the public.
