Man who attempted to use daughter for money ritual granted GHS500,000 bail

The businessman was given GHS 500,000 in bail with two sureties by the court, to be justified.

The businessman was also ordered by the court, which was presided over by Justice Mary Maame Ekue Yanzuh, to appear before the investigator each Tuesday until the case’s conclusion.

The Attorney General has also received the duplicate case docket (AG).

The businessman has been charged informally with preparation to commit murder.

But he has reserved judgment on his appeal.

The 42-year-old businessman had asked Nana Adu-Boafo, a herbalist, for assistance with the sacrifice.

But the herbalist called the police, which led to his capture.

“The girl’s father came to see me,” the herbalist, who captured the entire arrest on camera, is heard saying in the film. “He told me he just landed in the nation after residing overseas for a long and it hasn’t been easy for him.”

“He said he had 12 children and is giving two of them away for money rituals.”

“When the project is finished, he will give me GHS 10,000 and other pleasant surprises. The herbalist narrated, “Unfortunately, he had just brought the daughter up during school hours and told her he was going to fetch her a new clothing.

“Yes, I practice herbal medicine, but I’m also a veteran. I have a lot of discipline. I don’t participate in any evil deeds. I want to show everyone that herbalists are not as bad as they are made out to be. As opposed to how movies portray us, we are healers. I possess the young girl he brought for me to murder.
