The host of Metro TV’s Good morning Ghana show, Dr Randy Abbey has described the viral allegations and social outburst by Hopeson Adorye, a convenor of “fixing the country movement”, against the sensational social media influencer, Twene Jonas as a mark of tomfoolery.
The NPP stalwart, Mr Adorye in a viral video alleged that Twene Jonas was living in the United States illegally. He said his checks have shown that the social media icon has been sacked by both his employer and the benevolent landlord he was perching with.
According to Mr Adorye, the US authorities are hunting for Twene Jonas who have gone into hiding in the past few days because he does not have legal documents. Once he is caught my the authorities, he will be deported back to Ghana, Mr Adorye added.
However, Dr Randy Abbey is of the view that such allegations and social media outburst are things that should not be given the kind of attention it has enjoyed. Discussing social media trends on his show today, the media icon said Mr Adorye should not forget how his journey of life began.
“He has forgotten how he started. We tolerate a lot of tomfoolery in this country [Ghana]”, said Dr Abbey.
Unfortunately for Mr Hopeson Adorye, many social media users who are also fanatics of Jonas have described the allegations as attempts to discredit the young man and deflates his ever growing influence- “pull him down syndrome” which is likely to fail.
